I propose that we change the Heading styles on the openSUSE.org website. The current issues I see with the current styles is: 1. Heading 1 is inconsistent with the others. 2. The difference between the headings is not sufficient (especially Heading 2 and 3), which can cause confusion on what belongs to what on anything larger than a small page. Just have look at http://www.opensuse.org/Mail_server_HOWTO (no criticism on the content houghi :-) My proposed styles are here: http://www.opensuse.org/User:Pflodo/Style_Page Pflodo. ps. Has anybody managed to turn on the Auto-Number Headings in the User Prefs?

Indeed strange to see that 1.1 or 1.1.1 looks more importand then 1. Also there is no real difference between 1.1 and 1.1.1

I am all for that. I sometimes had the feeling that the heading layout was in reversed order. It indeed has a much more logical thing to it. houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html

Just looked at the wikimedia page and what I like is the line under the first heading. It makes it a lot clearer to read. I have manually added it in http://www.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Style_Guide, but I think it should be done automagicaly. It really makes it more clear on what belongs to what and where the next section starts. If done automagically, the whitespace between the words in the heading and the line can become smaller, making it even more clear. I tried it on the makeSUSEdvd place and it immidiatly made much, much more sence. Even in such a way that sizes could stay the same. houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html

Just did the same with http://www.opensuse.org/User:Pflodo/Style_Page and either way the line make it easier to read, I think. houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html

Yes I agree. I also notice that Heading 1 has been changed to be larger and bold.
