[opensuse-wiki] HCL:<article_name> is calling for a new namespace
Pavol started transition of HCL using colon as separator in the article title,
which means articles are placed in the Main namespace, so we either create new
name space now, before he moves more articles, or we will have whole HCL in
the Main namespace. Third option is to use openSUSE:HCL:

which is kind of strange looking prefix for article titles.
We agreed with Pavol to create a new namespace for HCL (hardware compatibility lists), because it didn't fit into the existing ones. I hope the pages starting with HCL: will automatically be part of it once it is in the config and deployed? Nice.

They will stay where they are in database. http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Namespace -- Regards Rajko, -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

I added the HCL: namespace in the config, we will have it after deployment (probably later today). After few days it appeared, but now we don't have any created HCL: articles. They are listed in All pages, but I can't see content. It seems that I had that problem in my local wiki, but for me that was simple turn off new namespace, pages appeared, remove pages, turn on namespace, import all again so they are imported in proper namespace (it was few files with all articles), so I have forgotten that I wasn't able to access them when namespace was on. This time turning on and off namespace is not that simple, so we can: 1) leave pages that are created with HCL: prefix to be hidden in a database, and create articles again. 2) turn off HCL ns, export pages starting with HCL, delete them to cleanup database, trun on HCL ns, and import pages. This time they will appear in proper ns. -- Regards Rajko, -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

not a good option IMHO

Sounds better, but there's another method without export/import: 3) turn off HCL ns, _move_ the pages (to HCL2 or so), delete the HCL: redirects, enable HCL ns again and move the pages back.
