It is surprising to have a Turkish maintainer whom had made no contributions to wiki. I am not ambitious to be maintainer, but I am really curious to learn why. The person who is in charge, could kindly explain for what reason a "non-contributor" is selected as "maintainer"? Goksin Akdeniz

I'm not really in charge, but ... For every language wiki we have one maintainer with sysop access rights to maintain the protected pages (but not limited to that). As far as i know Tora is translating the pages for the .tr wiki right now. Maybe he was just the first one who asked for a .tr wiki. I'm not sure if the maintainer must be someone with much contributions. More important is that he/she track the changes in the master wiki and change it on the translated wiki. -- with kind regards, ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin Lasarsch, Subsystems SUSE LINUX GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5 90409 Nuremberg martin.lasarsch@suse.de ---------------------------------------------------------------------- simply change to www.suse.de

Some points: It is me who is translating it. Two other contibutors has worked on my translations. It was my idea when were were working together for suse-tr.com. The idea was discussed on a chat room. It looked as if it was not a good idea everyone backed from it. I sent an email to the list and asked for translation process. A contirbutor -Akca- started it and I began translation. Surrisingly Sonja sent an e-mail to the group and mentioned that Tora shpould pay attention. Surprisingly the translation of wiki or Turkish pages idea was not accepted by anyone before. At least what I was told. The apply mail was written in Turkish and translated to English by a friend of mine. So still translating it? Goksin Akdeniz

I was not aware of that. I added the maintainer tag to the translation page to avoid such problems ...
