[opensuse-wiki] openssh - tunneling x over openssh articles etc.
Hi there, I'm currently (and already some time now) busy with editing, creating and upgrading articles about openssh and prepare them for transition. At the moment there are many different articles about forwarding X display through a ssh connection, only under different names. There are some I encountered on my search on the wiki, although I didn't write them down. (At that time I thought I was only going to change a few words in the openSSH article). When this is finished I want to start on one good article about X forwarding, taking all the information in the existing articles, saving to check and move all this pages. Most of them are incomplete or obsolete anyway. Is there some Temporary namespace, where I can create a page to make this inventory (for myself). And if anyone encounters or knows an article, throw it on the list. I know your really busy with the transition right now, If I can help, just shout. But, I'm not a wiki expert. Neither a Linux expert, but I see the wiki as a handy notebook for myself, how I got things working. Since, the wiki and other Internet sources are not always 100% correct. That's how I started with this. Just a small note on my current work, you might see that some links to articles are not working. That's because it's already prepared to serve the new wiki. Anyway, the links are just quickly created to have something there (In the knowledge bar and at the bottom. I will invest more time in them after the transition. You can create the tempory articles for example on your userpage or a subpage of it: eg http://wiki.opensuse.org/index.php?title=User:Muhlemmer/test&action=edit&redlink=1 Greetings -- Thomas Schmidt (tschmidt [at] suse.de) SUSE Linux Products GmbH :: Research & Development :: Tools "Don't Panic", Douglas Adams (1952 - 11.05.2001) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

Thanks for the tip! I created the page under http://en.opensuse.org/User:Muhlemmer/work since the old wiki is my work space for this. My request remains... Also for other SSH / openSSH topics. Just put it on my work list, send it by e-mail or drop a message on my discussion page! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org
