Is the product SUSE Linux 10.0 or openSUSE.org? houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. Sie ist das Kostbarste, was wir haben, denn es ist unwiederbringliche Lebenszeit. Leben ist aber mehr als Werk und Arbeit, und das Sein wichtiger als das Tun - Johannes Müller-Elmau

SUSE Linux 10.0, component "Release Notes". (There are no openSUSE.org release notes ;-) In the meanwhile, I edited the index.php/...... page and made it a redirect to the Addititional_YaST_....... page - there are lots of people with the wrong link in the Release Notes out there and this is the best workaround ;-) Regards, Christian Boltz -- Graphisch??? I can't. When I try, I get: Assignee: ke@suse.de did not match anything <snip?

And if I can fix it myself, it would be nice to tell me how, because that is what I am asking. houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. see; this is _exactly_ the point. this is obviously a typo in the code. should the yast source code easily available (readonly) for search, you could at least have given the exact buggy line of the code, the solution you already gave with this the fix would take seconds. I only look for a way to ease the work of the programmers, not to bother them, of course. jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos

In what code openSUSE that does not translate the page (anymore?) or the file.

As soon as I have the information I asked for in the reply, I will give either the URL or the file with the URL.
with this the fix would take seconds.
Say the error is in /usr/share/en/somefile.txt I have no idea wether this is only on my version or e.g. also the PPC version and so on.

I understand, I am also sure that they would not let me at their code and internal tools. If they do, I switch disto in a hartbeat, because that means others with the same level as I have can change stuff. I don't trust myself. :-) If I would change something and do a stupid typo, like http://en.opensuse/org instead of http://en.opensuse.org, who are the paying customers going to complain to, you think? So what would happen is that these same programmers need to check and veryfy each and every change done by individuals. And I am just talking about typo's, not even redirecting users to houghi.org or goatse or even worse, libdvdcss. Checking these things will cost the same time, if not more then jst filing a bug. Again, a very good intention, but in reality not workable, I think. houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. Sie ist das Kostbarste, was wir haben, denn es ist unwiederbringliche Lebenszeit. this is the way opensource works. of course not anybody can be allowed to _modify_ the code, but anybody is allowed to _look at_ the code. right now yast sources are pretty hard to install (many different modules, no standard install location - should be in /usr/src)

anybody can do stupid typo. and some are there in yast (few, of course, hopefully :-).

are you saying the community in unable to help? how does Debian works? how do you think localized wikis works? For example digiKam, a great photl management programm is the study work of a student. do you think He should have been excluded from Kde for that? I'll open an other thread jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos

jdd, that's the way YaST is unitized -- have you tried downloading all the yast2-*.src.rpm packages? They are all located in the suse/src/ directory of the factory tree. And yes, they all get installed into /usr/src/packages -- if not, then that's a bug. Regards Christoph

I will investigate this. I found the files in /usr/src/packages/SOURCES & SPECS righ now, but the file date is the original files one, so I don't know if it's from the test I did yesterday or the one I did right now Of course I will try to make this usable and I will document this on the wiki jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos
