[opensuse-wiki] edit main page

Hello I suggest to replace on the main page (http://en.opensuse.org/) the link *Download Instructions* to Installation_Help ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Have a look at the openSUSE 11.2, Screenshots and read Sneak Peeks of openSUSE 11.2. -Download Instructions – Download Help – Package Repositories +Download Help – Package Repositories – Installation Help -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

I checked both articles and it is probably the best to expand a bit Download and add inline links to subtopics that will be separate articles. Current Download help is not correctly written as it forces all users to read whole article in order to pick up bits they need. There are 3 groups of users it targets: Linux, Windows and Mac. It is also sometimes short in explanation and on some topics obsolete "'not- enough-space' error may occur if the DVD ISO is being downloaded to a FAT32 file system". That part should be in "Misc problems" as NTFS is in use since introduction of now obsolete XP, and even external media with FAT32 are now obsolete, although they can be found (like part of my 120 GB backup disk :) . I would actually keep Download help because title is good, better then Download, but with content of current Download as a base. -- Regards Rajko, -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org
