to use the template, you must type
{{IW|nameofthe english page}}
there is a parameter in the template (the name of the english page)
The parameter! yes. I was thinking how this template could work and I thought that the parameter was the name of the page. Now, I understand that and it is working right. By the way, other templates (in opensuse.org/Templates) specify that you need to put a parameter while this is not specified in this case. and say what you think of the use of the template (once you
have tried it :-)
I think that for me is easier to use the IW template that having to check if exist a translated page in other languages (fr, de) and put the name of that pages, and this links with you other thread "page naming and translations". For a point of view of a person who only translates a very few pages, it is very difficult to think in the relationships of the page I am translating with the other languages. I only care about the translation I am doing and I don't even think in putting a link to other languages, so we have to find an easy way to do the interwiki links. -- Jesús González
