It has been awfully quiet in the discussion about the new layout. I have added some stuff to http://en.opensuse.org/Frontpage_redesign
I know there must be more links around this discussion, so please let your opinion known, even if it is that you like it the way it is. Otherwise it is just an individual request that won't get a followup.
houghi several things on this subject.
* I changed in an nearly invisible way the main french page (fr.opensuse.org) just making the three variable rigth parts three inserted secondary pages (http://fr.opensuse.org/Bienvenue_sur_openSUSE.org/nouvelles and so), this is more convenient to edit the news, but don't really change anything * we lack a page "_why_ changing for SUSE Linux, and how begin. I just (ten minute ago) receive a lettre from a windows user asking why he should change. This is usually addressed by "linux advocacy HOWTO", but not really by our "migrate from windows" page, very technical (and usefull) * we need also to better organise the wiki. I met this requirement trying to build a site map. I'm exploring sub-categories and sub-pages mediawiki feature. The latter for long articles, the first for search by subject. http://fr.opensuse.org/Les_cat%C3%A9gories_principales http://fr.opensuse.org/Les_pages_principales sub-categories don't involve any modification in the present work (apart writing categories in the page), so it's easy all this don't seems first page related, but if the main page must be anything else than pure artwork, it must reflect the underlying of the wiki, so the latter must be better defined first :-) jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos
