Hello,
I like to participate for translating openSUSE wiki on my language (macedonian), also i`m proud user on openSUSE,and i like to promote Suse here in Macedonia.
The name is "openSUSE". SUSE is the name of the company and part of the name for some other stuff from Novell, like SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED).

Hi Nedin, welcome to openSUSE. Currently, wiki translations are on hold considering creation of new servers, but you can translate articles using couple of articles with instructions listed on http://en.opensuse.org/Translations . Note that when creating articles your translation must follow the rule <language code>-<english title> , like: MK-Welcome to openSUSE.org MK-Download and so on. When you create article you can put Macedonian translation of the title as text before all other text in the page, so that it can be searched for it suing openSUSE wiki search. Templates are a bit specific. Take page http://en.opensuse.org/How_to_Participate as example. Included templates are: Template:How to Participate Translations - no need to translate, it was used in very beginning, now is depreciated. Template:IW - there is nothing to translate, and it is depreciated too. Template:Intro-frame - nothing to translate except the name, but there is no need for that before mk wiki is created Template:PointHere - like above Intro-frame Template:Translations - you should create new template with title: Template:MK-Translations and then translate text Template:Where to find Help 1 same as above Template:MK-Translations The list of all articles with templates was very low on my todo right now, so you have to wade trough the jungle by yourself, but in case that you have problems you can ask on this list. I personally can help you, as I understand Macedonian to some extent, but mostly to understand my wife's cousins :) and fix problems you may encounter on the wiki. Looking on the http://en.opensuse.org/How_to_Participate as example I recall some earlier problems. Link translations: [[How_to_Participate#Participate_in_it| <the translated name here>]] Image Link: [[Image:Scribus48.png|Document]] The word Document should be replaced with translation. BTW, after you are done with listed mandatory translations, listed in http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Translation_Guide : you can also translate any other article with the same rule: MK-<english title> (translated title in MK) ; as a first line of translated article Translation of the article. -- Regards, Rajko openSUSE Wiki Team: http://en.opensuse.org/Wiki_Team People of openSUSE: http://en.opensuse.org/People_of_openSUSE/About -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org
