can we please add a policy that every migrated page has to have the redirect page for its old name? And on top of that add the redirects for all pages that are already migrated?
You want the old wiki back with no focus on readers, no maintainable structure, no help for contributors, no standards.
We are more than happy to help fixing the external links or fixing weak points in the new wiki.
Haha did you really say fixing external links? How are you going to fix all the saved emails and newsgroup posts and zillion random web forum posts? Links appear everywhere. I have links in notes on my phone. I have links in printed documentation. We should all know by now that it's a fact of life that links break. But that also means we should all know by now how bad it is to break links to reference material. And it may seem counterintuitive but the older the material the worse it is to break it since new alternative material on that subject is no longer being created elsewhere. -- bkw -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org
