Hi,
thanks for all the valuable feedback on the new download page. I have tried to implement the majority of your suggestion for improvement in the newest version which you can find at

As always: Feedback is most welcome.
Hi,
some ideas to point out the workflow, based on Frank's status Friday, 2007-05-18
http://en.opensuse.org/Image:Download_suggestions_01.png The red comments in the png describe the changes. * New: Numbers in boxes to point out the sequence * Changes: some text changes in the captions * Remark: The instruction text in section 5 should reflect the possibilities that are presented in section 4
(Sorry if I missed some facts that have already been discussed, I did not manage to read the whole thread)

Section 5b) Has few words that need explanation to average computer users: boot = Start computer; Turn computer on. media = CD or DVD Boot from media = "Start computer with CD1 or DVD in a CD/DVD drive. If you see that Windows starts look at < here 2 links to opensuse.org mentioned after section 5c)>" Or even simpler: "Boot from media. For more information look at < two links> The sentence: "In case that your computer does not automatically boot from CD/DVD, open the BIOS setup to allow booting from CD or DVD." covers only one case that is not common today. All computers that I have seen in last few years check first for bootable CD or DVD. Christian mentioned that Network Installation with MiniCD can only make trouble. It is for experienced users and I would skip any reference except as download option and remark that is for experienced users. -- Regards, Rajko. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org
