I created (recreated???) a news-box to the wiki's own portal and improved (in my opinion) [[Portal:Wiki/News]].
Hope it is to your liking/you are able to change what you like not.

Can you move it to the middle part that is wider, so that lines with links don't break.
I tried to do it a bit both according to the [[Template:Portal]] and to the layout of the Wiki-Portal before my edit (with more boxes on the left and much space on the right). I think I would be able to move the news box to/under "<div style="width:68%; float:left" if it that what you mean. But I think the opinions of all the wiki admins (and some other minors maybe) should be collected first. Maybe you could just make edits and not auto-approve/de-approve them? As I may not look in the (openSUSE-)net for today at all I would propose that the edit according to that possible collection of opinions should be executed by an other.
