I would rearange whole HCL to use section titles for models so that they apear in TOC, small table for overview of the most important data, and place under the table for comments.
Sample is here: http://en.opensuse.org/User:Rajko_m/Tests
Excellent idea.
The table allows to add comment inline with {{y}} {{n}} templates without breaking other entries. It is large and page may be long, but there is TOC and no need for scroll.
So, I would need opinion how it looks now and ideas how to improve presentation.
One comment. I would like to see a green OK sign when it works with the standard/updated distribution and a yellow OK sign when you need to use packages from elsewhere (Buildservice or developers website). One might even think about a red OK sign when you have to use compilation. Any ideas about a HOWTO behind these last OK signs?
Thanks for comments Boyd and Freek. The idea to add colors and links to HOWTO seems good. Semaphore like image(s) that will give level of support for each feature. Though we would need: Suported, level: Complete = Green Partial = Yellow + remark what is missing Doesn't work = Red Driver: Distro = Green Third party rpm = Yellow Third party compile = Red Not tested = ? Doesn't exist, not applicable = N/A It can be added to instructions for the future HCL contributors, though I would keep basic template as small as possible, which implies that we have to create advanced template with more data in it. Priorities: - bring HCL in editor friendly status - add links to HOWTO articles, mail list, bugzilla - add features, ie. better Right now even basic template doesn't tell about {{y}} {{n}} {{NA}} and other templates that can be used in the table. I made another copy of example here: http://en.opensuse.org/Experiment_Station that is the one I intend to use to expand sample. To see how this works for real page. Than it can be added links to HOWTO articles, semaphores and then look what is next step. -- Regards, Rajko.
