[opensuse-web] Print CSS for the wiki?
Hello, a user on the german mailinglist noticed that you'll get two useless pages with navigation etc. if you try to print a wiki page. (Hint: save the trees, test with print preview ;-) I already got rid of one page by an addition in Mediawiki:common.css on en.o.o - but... I was surprised to see that the bento theme on static.o.o includes a print.css - and I was even more surprised that the wiki does not include this print.css :-( Is there a specific reason for this or was it just forgotten? Regards, Christian Boltz -- Warning: Some of my best mistakes are yet to be made. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-web+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-web+owner@opensuse.org

It was never finished afair, but it surely is a worthy target. Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-web+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-web+owner@opensuse.org

-v please ;-) What does "not finished" mean? What's missing/wrong/...? What will happen if we enable usage of the print.css in the wiki? a) everything will explode ;-) (as in: print output will be broken) or b) some (for paper) non-relevant items are not hidden c) ??? (To make things more interesting, rlihm@o.o still forwards to his @suse.com address, which results in a bounce because he left SUSE. If you know a working mail address of Robert, can you please forward the question to him? He probably knows more about the print.css status ;-) Regards, Christian Boltz -- Ein Killfile ist der natürliche Lebensraum von Trollen und Elchen. I finally enabled print.css via en.o.o/MediaWiki:Common.css and hope it doesn't break too much ;-) Feedback welcome - please test printing some wiki pages (print preview also works and doesn't need paper ;-) and tell me if something is broken or missing from the printout. As usual, it will take some hours until the cache expires - better wait until tomorrow before testing the print CSS. If I don't see negative feedback in the next days, I'll check how to get print.css into the wiki template so that all wikis use it.
