Good morning, My name is Antonette. I am interested in joining your group. I have experience in web development, and have been (on and off) for about 4 years now. I normally alternate between different distros, like Fedora, Ubuntu, Gentoo, and etc. However, I have decided to make openSUSE my default distro. I wanted to learn more about the tasks that was listed on the wiki. I would like to know what to do to get started. I checked out the tasks page. Hi Antonette, I am not sure what tasks you speak about that are listed in the Wiki. Can you maybe share the link? I can suggest you three Rails project where help is more than welcome: OSEM, an Open Source Event Manager, which is being used to organize the openSUSE conferences (registration, CFP, schedule, etc). If you want to contribute to OSEM, you should check the contribution guide[1] and the issues list[2] (for the fist contribution you may want to check the "good first issue"[3] ones). You can just check what you would like to do from the list of issues and add a comment there asking if you can wok on it (just to avoid starting working on something someone else is already working on) and after that just send a pull request with the changes. If you have questions or need help, you can comment on the issue or PR in GitGub or join the #osem channel on #osem channel on freenode IRC. software-o-o, the application powering https://software.opensuse.org, where you can look for openSUSE packages. Similarly, there is a contribution guide[4] and an issues list[5]. For questions and help you can comment on the issues/PRs in GitHub or join the Gitter chanel[6]. Open Build Service, where the packages are built and distributed for openSUSE and other distributions as well. Again, check the contribution guide[7] and the "good first issue" list[8]. This one is the most difficult of three because of being a complex and old app and because of the amount of people working regularly on it. If you need help, do not hesitate to write in the issues/PRs in GitHub or join the #opensuse-buildservice channel on freenode IRC. Hope that this helps. I am not sure, but I think it could be this link: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Wiki_team#Tasks Thank you very much for suggesting the Rails projects. They look really interesting.
