@ admin http://old-en.opensuse.org Login form does not work. Can you check why? I have to put site notice so that every page tells that is old wiki. Also, MediaWiki version is old. I guess that we want to keep it up to date as long as it is online. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-web+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-web+owner@opensuse.org

The login is intentionally disabled because we do not want any changes to this wiki. Last time I checked, site notices are handled through a variable in the settings file, so Scott or I will have to do that anyways. If you can provide us the text you want out there, one of us can take care of it.

I don't see much of a reason to update it. Nobody can take advantage of the new features and it has a strong likelihood of messing up the format of at least some articles. This wiki is supposed to be untouched, except for the site notice, which I agree is a good idea. Regards, Matt

I don't know to what version pertains this: From: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:FAQ ------------------------------------------------------------------ How do I put a text message (sitenotice) on every page? Put a text in the MediaWiki:Sitenotice page. It will be displayed on top of every article page. You can also add text to MediaWiki:Anonnotice to create a message that only displays for logged-out users. It is often a good idea to transclude the site notice on the anon notice to make sure that logged-out users still get the information on the site notice, ------------------------------------------------------------------ I think that text that Adam provided is fine: ------------------------------------------------------------------ WARNING! This page is part of the old openSUSE wiki, and consequently may contain out of date information. For the latest information, please visit [http://en.opensuse.org the new site]. If the information you seek is only available on the old wiki, you are very welcome to help [https://en.opensuse.org/Help:Transfer transferring content over]. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Check http vs. https. I'm not sure which one works.
My concern are only security patches. If wiki is fine when no one can log in then we can skip update and fixes in layout.
