I use SuSE 11.0 and 11.1 with the latest kernel (.28.2) and before in both host and the guest. After installing an image using '-net nic,model=e1000....' I changed the previous model to 'virtio'. After a restart, I do get a IP address assigned but also csum errors upon initialization. After I logged in, ifconfig show fine data, but I am unable to get any IP traffic with anything but itself.

What version of kvm-userspace is this? What exactly are the csum errors?

Cheers, Mark. The message is 'partial csum error 65280/29754 len=42' this time. The numbers vary. But even if I make it a static address, I can't communicate. Only changing things back to 'model=e1000' and all is working again.

I don't now what version of kvm-userspace is used. I (try to) use the KVM83 and before the KVM82 packages. I can't try the QEMU SVN, because of missing KVM capabilities (even when using the latest 2.6.28.2 kernel). So, any more suggestions?
