Btw., after grabbing the file from a different source I have no problem using it - no error messages. I'm therefore suspecting that your image is corrupt, so apart from letting us know where you got it from and whether native can deal fine with it, could please also attach the actual file? I didn't realize there was an actual file involved. The 1st problem is, locate microcode_amd.bin /dev/.udev/firmware-missing/amd-ucode\x2fmicrocode_amd.bin ls -al /dev/.udev/firmware-missing/amd-ucode\x2fmicrocode_amd.bin /bin/ls: cannot access /dev/.udev/firmware-missing/amd-ucodex2fmicrocode_amd.bin: No such file or directory the file is clearly missing. the file is clearly missing.
The file would normally reside under /lib/firmware/amd-ucode/, not somewhere under /dev. And the fact that you get those messages indicates that such a file is being found, but perhaps with the wrong contents.
I just looked on a different 11.2 box (not a xen box ...), and there's no such file either.

I just googled the file name. But again, there must be such a file somewhere on your system (wherever the firmware loader looks). Jan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-virtual+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-virtual+help@opensuse.org
