I installed the xen kernel for the virtualization support. But the xen kernel does not boots up. It hangs for sometime at the time of booting and then the system restarts.
the configuration of menu.lst is as follows
title Xen -- openSUSE 12.1 - 3.1.9-1.4 root (hd0,5) kernel /boot/xen.gz vga=mode-normal module /boot/vmlinuz-3.1.9-1.4-xen root=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD5000BEVT-00A0RT0_WD-WXD1AB0L7670-part6 ip=dhcp -- resume=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD5000BEVT-00A0RT0_WD-WXD1AB0L7670-part9 splash=silent quiet showopts vga=normal module /boot/initrd-3.1.9-1.4-xen
I also tried using nomodeset option. But, that also did not work.
So, can anyone tell me what is wrong? Any help would be appreciated!
Without you providing kernel and hypervisor logs or any other technical information that might help identify _what_ is going wrong, we're unlikely to be able to help you.
