Well, this is what wants investigating then. I'd suggest to report to xen-devel, with suitable hypervisor log (complete, maximum log level) and at least the respective kernel log fragment. I recall fixing on instance this when having encountered it here. I also vaguely recall thinking that there likely are more quirks there.
