Currently I have several 15.1 which are fine.
Note: For now use the uyuni tools from 15.0 for the SP1 . Most provably the tools will not be specific per SP.
This worked perfectly. I will admit, I did try to copy the contents from the git and paste them into the the spacewalk-common-channels.ini file and replace the tools repo's with 15.0 but could never get them to work. Using exactly what you pasted and placing them after the 15.0 sections it worked like a charm. Strahil, Thanks again for your help. I had os423, os150, and was trying to add os151. When you pointed out that the tools were an issue, I didn't realize that I couldn't have two url's pointing to the same repos on the download repos. In order to get my uyuni box working properly, I deleted the os150 repos, made the modifications as you had (to point os151 to the os150 client tools repos). -Steve On Sat, 2019-07-06 at 21:39 +0300, Strahil Nikolov wrote:

Currently I have several 15.1 which are fine.
Note: For now use the uyuni tools from 15.0 for the SP1 . Most provably the tools will not be specific per SP.

You don't need to delete anything. You can have many channels using the same repo (in my case 15.1 client tools is using 15.0 client repo). Actually I found out that at some point in time openSUSE 15.0 switches to salt- 2019-XYZ while uyuni remains on salt-2018-XYZ and that was causing constant package refresh (one system got 32k entries in the events tab). Thus for now I have locked my openSUSE 15.0 to salt-2018-XYZ and I'm bootstraping 15.1 as spacewalk clients. That's the idea. However maybe we should add the two options to the spacewalk-common- channels.ini, so people can easily opensuse_leap15_1*.

Right, Leap 15.0 switched to 2019, and Uyuni 4.0.2 will use 2019 as well. I am working on the testing right now, so hopefully 4.0.2 will be out before the end of the week.

The change to use the same client tools for all Leap 15.X versions: https://github.com/uyuni-project/uyuni/pull/1185 However, in order to improve a little the support for Ubuntu (basically have real repositories at spacewalk-common-channels), we need to delay release a little, as the change requires testing. https://github.com/uyuni-project/uyuni/pull/1189 As a bonus, we add Debian 10 repositories so -while not supported- whoever wants to try Debian 10 (includes salt 2018), can have a look and tell about results :-)
