Is your proxy really a HTTP proxy on port 80? Can run "curl http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=7&arch=x86_64&repo=extras" with the proxy configured [1] and see if it works? https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-unix-curl-command-with-proxy-username-pa... Completely missed the 443 vs 80, sorry about that. After making that change I still get the below error. Little smaller, but an error nonetheless.

Hi Len,
Much better now that there are logs :-)
You are getting a HTTP 400 fetching http://mirrorlist.centos.org/? release=7&arch=x86_64&repo=extras <http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=7&arch=x86_64&repo=extras>
Works for me fine if I use it it with curl, so I don't think it's a problem with mirrorlist.centos.org
The fact the your proxy has http defined as protocol and at the same time uses port 443 seems to be strange.
My guess is that you defined this from the Setup Wizard, and the fact is that you only specify there a port, not a protocol.
So while I am not 100% sure, I am almost certain that right now only HTTP proxies are supported, while you are trying to use a HTTPS proxy. Is that right?
I'd need one of our spacewalk-backend expert to confirm it my suspicions. I will ping them on Monday if they don't see this message.
Or... could be that for HTTPS proxies, those need to be configured from CLI, but if that's possible I can't see how at the doc, and it would be strange.

I read in the list serv from previous months that people have seen
the
problem and the recommended solution is try it from the command line using spacewalk-repo-sync
but I am still getting the same error on the command line, so I am unsure what is going
on and what I can do to fix it. Does anyone have any suggestions
to my
problem?
