scsi0 : SCSI host adapter emulation for IDE ATAPI devices scsi : 1 host. scsi : detected total. Partition check: RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0 Uncompressing........................done.
How do I get rid of this? Later, after the SCSI driver loads, I see:
scsi1 : ncr53c8xx - version 3.2a-2 scsi2 : ncr53c8xx - version 3.2a-2 scsi : 3 hosts. Vendor: YAMAHA Model: CRW8824S Rev: 1.00 Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Detected scsi CD-ROM sr0 at scsi1, channel 0, id 3, lun 0>

I tried (and failed) to install an IDE ATAPI CD-R on a SuSE 6.4 box, but finally gave up and returned it for a SCSI one instead. The problem is, I can't get rid of the ide-scsi stuff. I made a new initrd and the SCSI drivers load correctly and identify the CD-R (telling me it's /dev/sr0), but before initrd even loads, I'm getting the message
scsi0 : SCSI host adapter emulation for IDE ATAPI devices scsi : 1 host. scsi : detected total. Partition check: RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0 Uncompressing........................done.
