Tried this as well as installing 0.12 from suse 7.3 cdrom, then trying the ximian 1.01 packages. Still have many dependencies for packages that I cannot find, most with xxx.so.xxx and the libiconf. And, every package seems to add to the dependencies. Started out with 5 dependencies, after installing all of those listed below, (except libiconf) now have 9 dependencies. Its like one step forward and two steps back. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Hi Art, If you do have problems like 'libxxxx.so.yy missing', then just search for libxxxx.so.* and link libxxxx.so.yy to the one you have found, let's call it libxxxx.so.zz: # ln -s libxxxx.so.zz libxxxx.so.yy Stupid and maybe annoying, but works. Acc. to my experience, it worked well with only installing gnome stuff from ximian, and nothing gnomish from SuSE. ===== Cheers ...
