Hi, first than any excuse my poor english. I have a Yahama 724F sound card (YMFPCI) installed in Suse 6.2 with ALSA driver 0.5.8b, when I do "modprobe snd-card-ymfpci" I get messages: /lib/modules/2.2.10/misc/snd-timer.o : unresolved symbol waitqueue_lock /lib/modules/2.2.10/misc/snd-timer.o : insmod /lib/modules/2.2.10/misc/snd-timer.o failed /lib/modules/2.2.10/misc/snd-timer.o : insmod snd-card-ymfpci failed Can anyone help me how to solve this problem. Try recompiling them and see what happens. Thanks Carles, Now I can play sound in my suse 6.2. What I do : 1. Reinstall Suse 6.2 (new installation) then install alsa but still not working. 2. Recompile kernel with OSS features then install alsa and it's working. Ine,

It looks like you are using modules that are compiled for another kernel version. Try recompiling them and see what happens.

man wvdial will give you info for alternate numbers or have a look at the /etc/wvdial.conf file.
