If nothing works, reboot suse and call the Technical assistance line for the hotel. If you have booted suse and are trying to get online, they will ask for your IP address. I was with you until this suggestion, but I don't follow your meaning on this one. What does rebooting linux accomplish?
Joe
Hi, sorry, poor writing skills on my part. It was all perfectly clear to me, too bad others couldn't understand it. Try this:
If you are using Windows as a last resort to try and log into the hotel's billing plan and can't get onto the internet even with it, shut down windows. Reboot suse and call the Technical assistance line...
Hope this makes it clear!
Mark Rereading this, I can see I failed to communicate properly again. Getting out of windows and into suse lets you have access to console so you can run the ifconfig command. There is probably a way to do that in windows, but I don't know how as I am not particularly knowledgeable about windows. So I am accommodating my lack of knowledge by using this method.

This seems clear enough. It continues with 'ifconfig' run to see the IP. ....

It is almost the same. Find console (command prompt) somewhere in Accessories menu and open it. Type in: ipconfig /all and it will list IP address among other things. -- Regards, Rajko http://en.opensuse.org/Portal needs helpful hands. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

In Windows, one would start a console and use the ipconfig command. Using ipconfig /? provides help for the various sub-commands, while ipconfig /all displays everything that's available.
