[opensuse] Update problem with 11.0?
Hello all, I ask this for a friend - I still run 10.3 and I have no time to test drive 11.0 yet. My friend installed 11.0 and tells me that when he tries the manual update, he gets a list of updates available, but the updater then directly goes to the "updating system file" screen, without actually downloading any update. Is this a known problem, or is his installation faulty? Thanks for any hint :) Thierry -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

What does he/you mean by "manual update"?

It means there is probably a dependency issue somewhere. Try in a command line as root 'zypper dup' or 'zypper up' or go through Yast and update them manually to see if a depend dialog comes up -- Michael S.
