What does dmesg say about the card? Something might have been loaded automagically. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (14.2°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Oh wait - it's a serial port, you probably have /dev/ttyUSB0 or some such. If you google "Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2303", there's plenty fo info available. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (14.1°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

This device is listed in the file: /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/77-mm-usb-serial-adapters-greylist.rules Look at the values for idVendor and idProduct. It may result in a device /dev/tty0USB or something similar. -- fr.gr. member openSUSE Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
