[SLE] running hdparm at boot
(another newbie question) I would like to set a spindown timeout for my second HD; I can do that with hdparm, but I'd like it to be set automagically whenever I start the machine every morning; can I just add the command as the last line in /sbin/init.d/boot.local? Exactly that is what this file is intended for :) This is what I have in there on my home box: # grep hdparm /sbin/init.d/boot.local hdparm -c1 -W1 /dev/hda hdparm -c1 -W1 /dev/hdc Bye, LenZ -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Lenz Grimmer SuSE GmbH mailto:grimmer@suse.de Schanzaeckerstr. 10 http://www.suse.de/~grimmer 90443 Nuernberg, Germany -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
