[opensuse] Export list of installed packages for re-installation elsewhere

Hello, I would like to export a list of all installed packages on my computer in a way that makes it easy to install them again, either elsewhere, or after a clean re-install. I guess the list must also be accompanied with a list of repos. How can I accomplish a "roundtrip" like that. It seems to me zypper is only suitable for installation of a small set of packages each time, and also I can't see how to export a name of packages in a form that zypper can take as input. It was a long time ago since I used Debian, but I seem to remember that it had tools to easily accomplish this. Thanks, Claes -- C l a e s H o l m e r s o n -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You mean something like AutoYast /1/? Like "yast2 /usr/share/YaST2/clients/clone_system.ycp" creates file "/root/autoinst.xml", which includes a snaphot of the whole system? With AutoYast you can also reuse the file for installations.
