[SuSE Linux] second scsi adapter and cdr
good day .... i'm trying to get a smart&unfriendly rocket 8020 installed on a suse 5.3/2.035 system. the cdr came with a scsi adapter and i'm trying to use it. the system appears to see the new scsi bus, but the cdr never seems to get recognized. here is what is in /proc/pci: linux-2:/proc/scsi/ncr53c8xx cat /proc/pci PCI devices found: Bus 0, device 16, function 0: SCSI storage controller: Adaptec AIC-7850 (rev 1). Prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xf8000000 o at least the system sees the second adapter. there is an entry in /proc/scsi for the ncr53c8xx. is there a way to probe the second scsi bus to look for devices? thanks! -- michael - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
