[SLE] Swat, Webmin & Routing problems!!!!
Hi susers!!!! To make it short I have the following problems in my Linux Machine: 1) I have problems when trying to connect to Swat or Webmin from a Win machine, but when I connect locally from the linux machine that has them installed locally I con get into them without any problem. Do you know what could be? 2) I have a routing problem: I have the linux machine as a server of a home lan with 4 machines(all win98). I can connect to internet through my dial up connection but when I try to download mail or visit some page I just canŽt because it says that it canŽt find that direction. I think its a routing problem, do anyone of you know where to start looking? Try accessing this IP address from one of the Win98 machines by typing it in your browser location bar: 204.152.190.71 If you get the AltaVista home page, as you should, but you can't then get the same page with www.altavista.com, then you have a DNS problem. While connected, if you can 'ping www.altavista.com' successfully from the Linux box, then the problem is somewhere between the Linux server and the Win98 boxes. Try the above and report back, then we'll have more info... Chris -- Apologies to everyone who has been waiting for replies off me over the past few weeks - I've been away from my computer. I'll try to catch up with my email over the coming days, but don't be surprised if you get a reply in a month's time... __ _ -o)/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ Chris Reeves /\\ /__/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / ICQ# 22219005 _\_v __/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
