I'd like to use it, but have only found it in RedHat/Glibc2 versions. More appropriately, I'm looking to install it so that I can run ICQ for Java. If there is another way to have full-featured ICQ in SuSE until they get off thier buts and make the X version available, that'd help me too! :) Thanks.
I have just downloaded an installed ICQJava into my SuSE 5.2 with success. First extract tgz file into the home directory of the user that you will connect to Internet... you do not use root, is it? Second edit ~/ICQJava/install file and put the following line (you have an example near top of the file): JAVA_HOME="/usr/lib/jdk1.1.3/" ave the file and run ./install Third run ~/ICQJava/ICQ and enjoy! (all will work ok with java 1.1.3) If you wish you can serch for my at ICQ# 17461636 ----/ / _ Rodolfo Pilas ---/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ rodolfo@linux.org.uy --/ /__/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / -/____/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\ la oportunidad de dominar tu computadora ------------------------------------------------------------------- Personal Official Web Page -> <A HREF="http:///www.internet.com.uy/rodolfo"><A HREF="http:///www.internet.com.uy/rodolfo</A">http:///www.internet.com.uy/rodolfo Gente Como Uno BBS -> <A HREF="http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/4838"><A HREF="http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/4838</A">http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/4838 Grupo Usuarios Linux Uruguay [UYLUG] -> <A HREF="http://www.linux.org.uy"><A HREF="http://www.linux.org.uy</A">http://www.linux.org.uy PGP Public Key Fingerprint = EE 6C 76 53 2B D9 2F 53 7B CE E3 69 8C ED 84 09 - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
