[SuSE Linux] Linksys PCI cards and the ne2k-pci driver problem
Hello, After a lot of effort I have finally got my Linksys PCI Ethercard installed. Unfortunately... two more problems now occur. 1. Pinging a Win98 box with it's IP number gets a "network unreachable..." 2. TKDesk in X now locks up the computer so bad I have to do a hard reset! Does anyone have any idea as to what I am doing wrong. During boot up the kernal recognises the card identifies the correct io and irq and loads the driver. The conf.modules file is correctly set as is the rc.xxxx files. Is the TK lock up problem related to the desk manager trying to access the LAN? I have a scsi tape drive that uses hardware compression and I wanted to know how to use that feature in suse 5.3? I have been using /dev/nst0 as the driver, but this doesn't seem to take advantage of the built in compression. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
