Listmates, This is the first time I have seen a repository cause a segfault. Using 'zypper in' I got the following: Downloading repository 'Packman Repository' metadata [done] Building repository 'Packman Repository' cache [done] Error building the cache database: 'repo2solv.sh' '-o' '/var/cache/zypp/solv/packman/solv' '/var/cache/zypp/raw/packman' /usr/bin/repo2solv.sh: line 227: 1611 Broken pipe $cmd "$i" 1612 Segmentation fault | rpmmd2solv $parser_options > $primfile Warning: Disabling repository 'Packman Repository' because of the above error. Reading installed packages... What's up with that? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. I can't reproduce. But if you could enable core files (with ulimit -c unlimited) and then run it again, and then open a bug and attach the core to it, that would be good Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Crap Anders, I can't reproduce it either...: [01:28 alchemy:/home/david/linux/scripts/config/zypp] # ulimit -c unlimited [01:29 alchemy:/home/david/linux/scripts/config/zypp] # zypper ref Repository 'Updates for 11.0' is up to date. All repositories have been refreshed. The original error occurred when I was attempting to install nagios to check it out after your discussion with Chuck Payne earlier on monitoring memory. All I did was: [02:46 alchemy:/home/david/linux/scripts/config/zypp] # zypper in nagios Downloading repository 'Packman Repository' metadata [done] Building repository 'Packman Repository' cache [done] Error building the cache database: 'repo2solv.sh' '-o' '/var/cache/zypp/solv/packman/solv' '/var/cache/zypp/raw/packman' /usr/bin/repo2solv.sh: line 227: 1611 Broken pipe $cmd "$i" 1612 Segmentation fault | rpmmd2solv $parser_options > $primfile Warning: Disabling repository 'Packman Repository' because of the above error. I'll keep prefacing my zypper commands with ulimit -c unlimited and I'll post back if I get a hit. I think it was strange XML in the packman repomd, which now after another packman rebuild has gone away. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
