I guessed. I don't have it installed. I'm not sure where those German man pages have come from. Does anyone else with an English installation have the directory /usr/man/de? -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

When I installed SuSE 6.2, it defaulted to installing the german pages and I added the english pages. Unfortunately, when I did a man tar, I got a german page. After that I removed the german pages and no longer had an english tar manpage. Later when I was upgrading, SuSE wanted to add back in the german man pages and html help files. <sigh> It was probably something got munged in the rpms but I never investiaged further.
