Subject: Euro-Par 2001 Cluster Computing Workshop : Call for Papers
Dear all,
This may be of interest to many of you. I'd appreciate it if you would
forward
the CFP to friends and colleagues working in this area also.
Thanks in advance.

CALL FOR PAPERS
---------------
Euro-Par 2001 Cluster Computing Workshop
Organised by Manchester University, England, from 28th to 31st August
2001.
http://homer.csm.port.ac.uk/events/europar2001/
In co-operation with the IEEE Task Force on Cluster Computing
The availability of high-speed networks and increasingly powerful
commodity
microprocessors are making the adoption of clusters, or networks of
computers an appealing vehicle for cost effective parallel computing.
Clusters, typically built using commodity-of-the-shelf (COTS) hardware
components as well as free, or commonly used, software, are playing a
major role in redefining the concept of high performance and
availability computing.
The Euro-Par Cluster Computing workshop is an international meeting that
aims to highlight European and International cluster computing
activities and act as a forum for the latest research and development
with clusters. The topics of interest for this cluster-computing
workshop include, but are not limited to:
* Hardware architectures;
* High performance networks and interfaces;
* Light weight communication protocols;
* Middleware:
* Single system image infrastructure;
* High availability infrastructure;
* Issues in building scalable services;
* Resource management and scheduling;
* File systems and parallel I/O
* Data distribution strategies and load balancing;
* Programming paradigms and environments;
* Message passing systems;
* Problem Solving Environments;
* Tools for operating and managing clusters;
* Scientific, engineering, commercial and real time applications;
