Well, sorry, I can't imagine what the problem is. It is running as a daemon, there should be an icon somewhere. Time ago, on XFCE we needed an applet that was an area for KDE applets to live in. Which... Maybe this "systray Notification Area Area where notification icons appear" But I'm not /using/ Tumbleweed, so it appears I can not help you further. Make sure you have that notification area. Perhaps the changes in XFCE killed it.

I updated my vmplayer TW install, added kgpg and deps to it, created new user, started XFCE, then kgpg from terminal. It runs the key management tool. No icon no the panel. I exit kgpg.
