[opensuse] Installing multiple compiled kerenls
Hello I am trying to install multiple custom kernels built using the 'make rpm' command. I am building the 2.6.18 src rpm included in the 10.2 distribution. When I try to install the kernel I receive the following error: # rpm -if kernel-2.6.18.1xen34Kalman-4.*rpm package kernel-2.6.18.234V134default-3 (which is newer than kernel-2.6.18.1xen34Kalman-4) is already installed Thank You Aaron -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi Aaron, Try to mimic openSUSE version numbers vmlinuz-2.6.18.8-0.5-default replacing only default in the file name with your string vmlinuz-2.6.18.8-0.5-Kalman-4 and it should work without problems. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
