What is this monster and what feeds it ? May I cat /dev/null it ? And what for should I keep it ? Not the least idea when it started. locate pacct does find anything but /var/account/pacct. Not the least idea when it started.
It started on the first reboot you made when you change START_ACCT=no to START_ACCT=yes in /etc/rc.config.
locate pacct does find anything but /var/account/pacct.
