[opensuse] Old style NTP status w/ delay and jitter
Is there some way to get the delay and jitter for each NTP server like in the pre-systemd days? TIA, Jeffrey -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

tmu, systemd didn't change ntp, only the system startup. try: ntpq -p -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
Thank you. "rcntpd status" used to include this. Now I know how to go direct. Jeffrey Quoting Patrick Shanahan <paka@opensuse.org>:

Yes, there are no changes to the ntp source code related to systemd, however ntp daemons are (or should be) integrated with the systemd-timedated(8) interface. unfortunately this is not the case with openSUSE yet, but will probably be in 13.1. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Thank you. I did not know how to get this output without using "rcntpd status". Which no longer works. Jeffrey Quoting Cristian Rodríguez <crrodriguez@opensuse.org>:

extra useful info can also be found using timedatectl. it will also show if there is an upcoming DST change. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

viajero:~ # timedatectl If 'timedatectl' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the package that contains it, like this: cnf timedatectl viajero:~ # cnf timedatectl timedatectl: command not found viajero:~ # Is this in 12.3?
