did it work for you?
Nope, for some reason it didn't :/ After a lot of reconfiguration, and reinstalls, I finally got it to work without UEFI. In the BIOS, I did: restore factory defaults, which cleared out the "opensuse" option from the boot menu restore factory keys secure boot: disabled uefi/legacy boot: legacy only Then during reinstall, I totally wiped the hard drive and had it write a new MSDOS partition table, and told it to install the bootloader to the MBR as well as the root partition. Now, finally, I can boot the laptop without the DVD :) I really don't understand why things like this have to be so cumbersome. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
