Great. How about a link to these on the frontpage? houghi -- The trouble with doing something right the first time is that nobody appreciates how difficult it was.

Ah. because it is on the top right on all other pages, that is where I was looking. Will take that to the IRC meeting. :-) houghi -- It's the thought, if any, that counts!

dont even think of it. i wont patch the wiki to change it because of: i want keeping it consistent with other (media)wikis they all have the box there. the box on the top right was just a work around until we got the other wikis. i will work on getting more and more language wikis up. if you want to help here, support the people in translating the needed pages to their language and we will get them a wiki. with kind regard marcus -- openSUSE - SUSE Linux is my linux openSUSE is good for you

OK. So YOU want it and therefore it can't go to the meeting? The meeting could not go like this: - I noticed that the international links on the fronpage are on a different place then on the standard pages * The standard pages will be confirm to the frontpage and other WIKI sites - Duely noted, thanks. No instead I am not allowed to mention it. Guys, please - if you question the openness of openSUSE every time someone with a suse.de address disagrees with you we'll have a very hard time in the upcoming months indeed. Add your topic to http://en.opensuse.org/2006-02-07-status-meeting if you feel it isn't already covered by "frontpage redesign" please. thanks + peace, Sonja -- Sonja Krause-Harder (skh@suse.de) Research & Development SUSE Linux Products GmbH

If the adress would be gwdg, I would react the same. If I should say such a thing, I hope people will react the same towards me.

I think it is and therefore wanted it discussed there. Not as a main issue, but as a question. Question. Answer. Next question. houghi -- There once was a freshman named Lin, Whose tool was as thin as a pin, A virgin named Joan From a bible belt home, Said "This won't be much of a sin."

MediaWiki do have it usually on the bottom left. But I do agree that should also have a language selector on the top right like usual web sites as well (for the homepage only). bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nuernberg, Germany email: adrian@suse.de

Well, I thought that was an agenda point for the IRC meeting, but apparently I was mistaken. houghi -- A new koan: If you have some ice cream, I will give it to you. If you have no ice cream, I will take it away from you. It is an ice cream koan.

I will proofread this, but there are many page. if there are here french readers, they could be of great help editing the various pages (compare it to the english one in case of problem). drop me a note if needed. thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net Quelques images: http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html

So either the 'normal' pages or the 'mainpage' will be unified to have it on the same place? houghi -- The new Congressmen say they're going to turn the government around. I hope I don't get run over again.

Yes. We need to get rid of the translations inside the english wiki. Otherwise this whole language deal will be a maintenance nightmare. Especially once the wiki for that language the translations is in is there. Henne -- Henne Vogelsang, http://hennevogel.de "To die. In the rain. Alone." Ernest Hemingway

ti have a bottom left link, a page needs to have a link of this sort in it: [[en:Download]] [[de:Download]] [[es:Download]] on usual writing accessible pages, anybody can do (verfy the existance of others languages links. It's pretty easy to add this when/if you do a translation jdd -- http://www.dodin.net Quelques images: http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html

not really the same thing. the right up is when the page is a translation. bottom left is only a link to the other wikis. don't know why it's not done with the usual interwiki automatic linking jdd -- http://www.dodin.net Quelques images: http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html

wrong. this is just a temporary work around due the delays of the i18n wikis. we want to get rid of it honestly.

that box on the lower left is the usual place for language links. See the wikipedia site. why should we duplicate that block? with kind regards darix
