[opensuse] Multimedia Keyboard
I use SLED SP1 with gnome. I have a multimedia keyboard and would like to use the "buttons" on the keyboard (volume and web browser buttons). The kernel sees the "presses" but i can not figure out how to configure for button keyboard. You can probably use the application called KeyTouch. There are builds in the repositories for various versions of SUSE, or you can get t direct from the website - http://keytouch.sourceforge.net/dl-keytouch.php There are loads of predefined keyboards available, and if yours isn't in there, there is an editor you can use to link keypress events to actions. All quite handy and relatively easy to use. C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

On openSUSE 10.2, there is something running which just auto-detects the keyboard. If not, you can use lineak. http://lineak.sourceforge.net/ There is an on screen display you can use, too. xosd. I think they all work in GNOME, but am not sure. HTH! -- kai -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
