[SLE] Masquerading Difficulties
I installed 6.3 and had some troubles getting the IP Masq' stuff to work. After perusing through the list archives, I found that I needed to install the latest firewals package from the update site. I did this, and while I noticed that some scripts were now running, my second ethernet card, eth1, was no longer recognized by the firewall scripts or dhcpd. I can't seem to make things work at all with the second card, although it is initializing properly. Any ideas? I don't know how you got it to work before but what I did, and have recomended to everyone else with a 2 net card setup is to download dhcpcd instead of the SuSE client. The SuSE client has a bad habit of wiping out all network card configurations when it takes over for eth0. You can find dhcpcd on freshmeat.net and download it from there. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Darren R.
