Opera 6.10 crashes when accessing a web site

Hi, My wife complains about Opera 6.10 crashing when accessing a website, which she said did not happen with the stock 6.03 which came with SuSE 8.1. I updated to 6.10 on the weekend, using the rpm for mandrake / SuSE 8.1, which is built using gcc 3.x I did not experience this myself, except once or twice which I blame to the site, since this happened on this very site earlier too. Anyone got an idea? When one re-opens Opera, it remembers where one was last and offers to continue browsing there, so this works. Cheers .... Opera 6.11 is out now, you might try that one. Michael PS: Although I have registered Opera some time back, I have about given up on it. It crashes for me a lot, and is almost as useless as konqueror for me because of that. -- Michael Nelson San Francisco, CA

I'm gonna check it asap. The weird thing is, this has not yet happened to me, only to her. So I do not blame opera as a first guess. Cheers .... Wolfi ============================================= mailto:wolfi_z@gmx.net Linux ... the better OS!

Just tried it on 'the other box' there I DID SEE SUCH a crash of Opera. Done the following: removed .opera except the *valuable* bookmark file, tried again, now it works. Now I'm using Opera 6.10 to download 6.11, this seems to work w/o problems. Cheers .... Wolfi ============================================= mailto:wolfi_z@gmx.net Linux ... the better OS!

Interesting... My wife on Winders XP can crash opera without looking at it... I can not, while on SuSE 8.0 I can crash opera with no problems, and on SuSE 7.x she can not. ... and other things which make that funny vein on your forehead go boing!
