I appreciate that this may not be the correct place for this or that this information may be available in a FAQ somewhere or in the archives, but I don't know where the FAQs are and I was unable to search the archives from the URL that I found. I am fairly new to Linux but have been asked to take primary responsibility for our SLES8 on z/Series processor. I have some Unix (AIX) experience so this isn't totally alien to me. I have been asked to install WAS v5.1 (IBM Websphere Application Server) and am stumped at finding and installing Sun jr2e 1.4 or determining what, if any, Java is installed. I'd be very interested in finding anyone else who is running a similar environment (with more experience than me :-) ) or pointers to docs or other lists or newsgroups.
