I've acquired a 30 day trial of Informix Dynamic Server for Linux. The documentation on it is rather useless. I have gotten so far with it and can't seem to get anything to work quite right. I've setup the INFORMIXDIR, INFORMIXSERVER envrironments, set the PATH to the right place. I can run dbaccess, but get some strange errors. I can try and connect to the demo_on database and get "The appl process cannot connect to Dynamic server demo_on. No such file or directory" I didn't type the database in, it gave it to me as an option along with demo_se. I assume that I need to seutp some more configurations with this. Anyone have a page conveniently layed out for just such an occasion? Or can help me with this?
