I recently compiled SANE scanner support for my HP 3c flatbed scanner and was quite impressed with the way it will attach to the GIMP by making a symnbolic link. I can now scan directly into the GIMP which is quite nice using SANE.
Hi All; There was a very good story about SANE in LJ #47. But, what I need is a driver for a old handheld scanner. I've got a GeniScan GS-4500 gray scale only. It's about 8 years old. Does anyone know of a Linux driver for it? Right now I have to reboot my system from a dos diskette to run it. It is so old that it can not run under Win 3.1. Thanks for your help!
