[opensuse] Loss of HD space since upgrade to 11.1
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, During an update option (via DVD iso) to 11.1, does the update make a copy of files during the process which are supposed to be deleted on completion? I ask as I appear to have lost about 2Gb disk space from my /home partion. If a copy of files are made during update option, they would appear not to have been dleted after successful install. Can anyone tell a noob like myself how ro locate and delete the copy of any files made during update of operating system from 11.0 to 11.1? - - assuming a copy of filed is made. Thanks in advance for any help. - -- Cheers, Kenny -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAklP+YUACgkQsLFKRuA5NAN6RACgmKgPllG20YbsMavtV3XseWns i8IAn1PaHq8dVSf4YKQTPXYPPa3blJCi =pa1p -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

A copy of home? No, I don't think so. You can search for used space with utils like kdirstat (kde), baobab (gnome) or filelight. You have to run them as root to be able to find all files. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
